Finally, a judge who understands what’s happening regarding the use of trademarks as keywords has made a ruling that using trademarked names and phrases in a leyword list is, in fact, commercial use of someone else’s trademark and constitutes an attempt to mislead the consumer.

A “Duh” Moment from Google Adwords
Did you hear the news? Google released one of their tidbits of Quality Score wisdom this week. Get this… conversion rate, you know that part of the Adwords account that is totally optional, is not, I repeat, NOT a component in determining Quality Score.

It’s bad enough that by default, even thought Google’s own management teams tell you NOT to do this, Google turns both the content and search networks on in the same campaign. Now they’re going to be targeting your ads to the US AND CANADA by default.
